Q: What is www.averysignaturebinders.com?
A: Our web site, averysignaturebinders.com, allows you to design, personalize and order custom printed Avery binders directly from the Web in a few easy steps. No Avery software download is necessary.
Q: What software is required?
A: Adobe FlashPlayer 9 is required to use the online binder creator. Download the latest versions for free from the Adobe Web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Q: How are Avery Signature custom binders made?
A: Avery Signature custom binders are made of the same high quality components found in our Heavy Duty binders. We print directly on the cover material prior to making the binder. That enables us to print the entire binder, including the front, spine and back. The result is full bleed, brilliant images with photo quality resolution. The results are superior to traditional screen printing methods – you’ll be impressed with the results.
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: No. You can order just 1 binder.
Q: Are there discounts for larger quantities?
A: Yes, pricing for larger quantities is shown in the chart below. For quantities of over 100, please contact us at: binder.service@averysignaturebinders.com.

Q: How long does it take?
A: Our highly efficient process allows us to produce your binders within 3 business days. (For orders over 100, additional production time may be required.) Shipping time will vary. Selecting overnight or 2nd day shipping service speeds the delivery method but does not speed production time. So, if you order a binder and choose overnight delivery, your binder will be made 3 business days later (excludes weekends and holidays) and shipped to arrive to you on the 4th business day.
Q: Do you offer expedited production?
A: As a general rule, we do not. However, you can send us an email with your request and we can see if we can accommodate it. All requests for expedited service also require that you choose overnight delivery.

| Design Questions |
 |
Q: How do I use stickers?
A: To place a sticker on your binder, just drag the image onto the design canvas. You can resize and rotate the sticker by using the icons in the corners.
Q: How do I use shapes?
A: To place a shape on your binder, just drag the shape onto the design canvas. You can adjust the line thickness and the color of the line and fill by selecting the desired value in the tool area.
Q: How do I change the font size?
A: The software will automatically size of the font to fit the text box. To reduce or increase the size of the font, drag the corner of the text box.
Q: How do I use backgrounds?
A: Background images are always placed behind the other images and text. You are able to customize the background for the front, spine and back of the binder. Use the binder panel selection tool to choose where you want to apply the background. First, click on the icon representing the binder panel you wish to change. Then, select the background image you want to use. Note: If you put a background image onto a panel which already has a background, the new image will override the previous one.
Q: How do I use the corner tools?
A: When you have an image or text box selected, tools on each corner allow you to resize, rotate, and move the image forward or backward among layers. To use these tools, move your cursor above them, then drag the cursor.

| Importing Files |
 |
Q: What types of files can I upload?
A: We can accept the following types of files:
- GIF Image (*.gif)
- JPEG Image (*.jpg,*.jpeg)
- PNG Image (*.png)
Q: What size and resolution should my uploaded files be?
A: In general, your image should be at least 200 dpi and saved at the size you want it to print on the binder. You can upload higher dpi files which will allow you to enlarge the images on the binder. If you enlarge an image too far, however, the image will become blurry when printed. A pop-up will warn you when you have exceeded the recommended size. It is very important that you heed this warning sign. While the image on the screen may look fine, you will be very disappointed with the print quality as the images will print very pixilated. (Please see our Terms and Conditions regarding image quality).Stickers and Shapes are vector-based images, and so can be stretched infinitely without degradation.

| Saving Projects |
 |
Q: Can I save my design and make changes to it later?
A: Yes, you can save your design, and re-open and edit it later. Designs will be saved for one year, so you can re-order binders when you need them. Note: Our system saves your design to our servers. To access your designs, your computer must be configured to accept flash cookies, and you must use the same computer you used to create the original file.

| Printing |
 |
Q: What is the Safe Printable Area?
A: The binders have full bleed printing, meaning the artwork extends all the way to the edge of the binder. The "Safe Printable Area" within the binder design area denotes the area on the binder where we recommend you put your text and graphics. This prevents important information from getting cut off along the edges. If you want an image to extend to the very edge of the binder, then move it to the outer edge of the design area (going through the area marked “seam”). Remember, however, that the binder weld on the perimeter may distort any image or text on the very edge. To see how your binder will look once it's been made, check the 3D preview.
Q: What is "Full Bleed"?
A: Full bleed indicates that the artwork image runs right to the edges of binder.
Q: How do I ensure that the color of the printed product is what I am expecting?
A: No printer can guarantee an exact color match, however we do everything we can to get strong, rich colors. If you are planning a large order of binders and have specific color needs, we suggest that you order 1 binder as a test before placing the entire order. If you upload your image and the color on the screen seems different, it will likely print more like the screen color than your original image. This can be caused by several things, but the most often seen cause is that the image is saved in either CMYK or Indexed color. Please convert your image files to RGB prior to uploading them. Please see Terms and Conditions of Order for more details regarding layout and color accuracy.

Q: Can I ship internationally?

| Managing Orders |
 |
Q: Can I cancel or change my order?
A: After you place your order, your binders will immediately be put into our production queue. Since our production is so automated, orders may not be changed or cancelled once submitted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Q: How will I know that my order had been successful?
A: You will know that your order was successfully placed when a “Thank You” page comes up. Also, you will receive a confirmation email shortly after placing your order and once it has been approved for production (Please see Terms and Conditions for license and content). If you do not receive an email within 2 working days of placing your order, send us an email at binder.service@averysignaturebinders.com and we will track your order.
Q: I am getting error messages when I input my order information. What am I doing wrong?
A: Unless you get a confirmation that your order went through, your credit card will not be charged. Please make sure that both the name and billing address match what is on file for the credit card you are using, as a mismatch will cause an error. We also require an email address and phone number to successfully complete your order (enter the phone number with the area code in this format: XXX-XXX-XXXX making sure you include the dashes).

| Returns and Replacements |
 |
Q: What is the return and exchange policy?
A: Since the custom binders are made to order, we are unable to take returns of non-defective product. You are 100% responsible for the accuracy of the binder layout. Please proofread your layout and order information carefully prior to submitting your order. (Please see Terms and Conditions of Order for more details regarding layout and color accuracy.)
Q: How do I replace defective binders?

 |
| Care |
 |
Q: How do I care for my binder?
A: If you would like to re-ship your binder please make sure to enclose it in a plastic bag in order to avoid advanced wear and tear.
Q: How durable is the binder?
A: The binders are made with the same components as standard Avery Heavy Duty binders. However, please note that the binders are not meant for heavy daily usage. With regular use, you will see normal wear and tear. Because of the matte finish, you may also see scratches and scuffs especially around the edges of the binder. As with or non custom binders, heavy use and / or over stuffing the binders will put extra pressure on the hinges and welds of the binder and may result in splitting or tearing.
Q: What if my binder gets dirty?
A: Any scratches that remove color on the binder are permanent. Dark colors tend to show scratches and wear more readily than light colors. Any dirt that may get on the binder can be removed using a clean damp washcloth.
